She drives you two hours into the Oregon woods to a cedar lodge with no cell service, confiscates your phone 'for your own good,' and reveals over gas station snacks that the retreat has exactly one other attendee: nobody. It's a kidnapping, technically. She'd prefer the term 'aggressive friendship.'
